I Can See

Someday over the sunset
In a land far away
That follows the river
And up through the valley
It feels like home to stay

Somewhere under the rainbow
Shadowed in gleams of pure silver
Down in the meadow
Through the blades of pure colour
The lingering rays deliver

In a peaceful place
Where the stars and the moons both collide
The air kisses the skin
Warms the heart that’s within
And the evil that reaps soon subsides

The glittering crystals on water
From the light that shines on the top
To the depths of the soul
Where the devil still tolls
The temperature of fire may drop

To the burning and crackles of flames
That lick up the sides of these walls
They create heat where the cold was
And fill the hole that was
Causing us all to fall

And down in the depths of the mind
Where reality lies far behind
To the corners and creases
And scream that releases
The silence from its tight binds

Over and under, atop the glory
The birth of a life is announced
As one is born in
Its brothers and kin
The obituary soon is denounced

The sunset crawls over the mountains
The wind blows the tree’s to a dance
The light of the candles may flicker
But never may darkness commence

The stars in the sky light our path
The full moon hangs in the air
The sun is long gone
But will rise a new dawn
For the space in the sky they both share

To the heart that pumps blood through the body
Not tainted or twisted it beats
And in this slight pattern
The skin is soon shattered
The blood falls on the ground at our feet

The scars on our skin tell us stories
These stories are all of the past
We don’t want to dwell
Still these stories we tell
But some we wish not to last

To a place over the rainbow
And somewhere so far away
But we open our eyes
And soon we realize
Our sanctuary’s not here to stay

Under a lock and key
This sanctuary keeps me
Though my sanity missing
My destiny’s kissing
And locked in my mind I can see…
