Black and White and Red All Over Re-Write
My world shatters
It falls to the floor
Becoming shapeless pieces
I can’t place back together
There’s no way out
No way to hide
And my skin collides
With the sharpness of the knives
Small slices and slashes
Make such large
Bloody gashes
But those little scratches
Can make me feel sane
And though I am bleeding,
My heart slows in beating
I cannot resist
The sensation of pain
Anything to feel alive
Anything to feel
Aside from fear
The hurt from lies
The wonder if it’s worth hanging on
I hear no sound
Aside from the beating
The breathing
Slowing and stopping
It’s all gone dark and cold
Enveloped in darkness
The world goes from black to red
Fading and falling
Falling further away
And before I reach the ground
Right from the start
I was only living
Because of my beating heart
I realize
As the last breath leaves
