Far From Home

Well, here I am again
Trying to sleep at 3 am.
It's not working, obviously.
Here the wind blows so quietly...

In a state of mind
That I thought had been left behind
I'm sitting here,
Not even trying to get back to where I came from.
I'm far from home.

Did you ever notice how,
the darkness lets the angels bow?
My mind will wander on and on,
Through this night until I'm gone...

In a state of mind
That I thought had been left behind
I'm sitting here,
Not even trying to get back to where I came from.
I'm far from home.

The bones I have will mellow down,
But it doesn't mean I can't hear a sound.
Whispering voices start to fade,
But they still feel the pain I made.

In a state of mind
That I thought had been left behind
I'm sitting here,
Not even trying to get back to where I came from.
I'm far from home.

Open a window just to see
What my life is made out to be.
I cannot begin to describe
All the things it has to provide.

Close my eyes, yes that's it,
Lose my conscience bit by bit.
Oh, how I have longed to cry.
This will be my chance to try.

In a state of mind
That I thought had been left behind
I'm sitting here,
Not even trying to get back to where I came from.
I'm far from home.

And I will dare,
If they would care.
And I will chance,
If they would glance.
And I am seeing
Myself being
Happy?

Maybe I'm home.
Maybe I'm home.
Maybe I'm home.
Maybe I'm home.
