Brown Looking Into Blue

A contrast to the brightest blue,
Do you know brown is looking into you?
My brown eyes stare into the sea,
And wish it would wash over me.

The dirty ground meeting blue sky,
Opposites attract, or else I’d cry.
And our smiles touch each other first
Before my heart starts to burst.

It’s sad he may not know it,
But I realize I’m too shy.
I barely even show it,
In fact I hardly even try.

I say that I’m in love with him,
But maybe that’s naïve.
He’s tearing me slowly limb from limb,
And I can barely remember to breathe.
