Gifts Of The Night

She lay her cloth,

Down on the floor,

And closed her eyes,

To sleep.

A man came past,

And took her hand.

Leaving her gifts,

Her eyes they open.

The man had gone.

Her visitor she,

Won't know.

His gifts remained.

His heart it stayed.

While her eyes closed,

To sleep
