Demons

They've stolen the true essence of who you were,

Grasped it in their cold hands and broke it into pieces.

They've poisoned your apple,

Snuck the devil inside of you.

Your words are twisted.

Your smile lacks authenticity.

But they swallow the innocence you attempt to give off.

But I refuse to swallow your poison.

They will never see the demon that lingers in your soul.

The demon that you see when you find your reflection,

In the face of that girl that you deny.

There will be nowhere to hide,

when it comes time to abandon ship.

You'll be abandoned.
