Somebody Save Me

Well I can't find myself
In this small ugly town.
And I feel all alone
When my friends are around.
Oh, I search for escape;
For a place I can hide,
But then fate moves my life
Like the moon moves the tide.

Then I trip and I slip
And I fall in a hole.
Just when I get my grip,
Then I lose all control
Of myself, of my soul,
of my mind, of my heart.
Then engulfed in the pain,
Go insane before I fall apart.

And when I say
I don't want to fall in love,
I wish you would see
It's only a lie that I wove.

I need somebody to save me,
To show me what it is like to feel warm and alive.
Oh, and when you forsake me,
At least I'll know what it's like to not only survive.
And you may say that it's tragic,
You left 'cause I'm trapped and constricted by fear.
Well, I'll admit it ain't magic,
No abra-cadabra made you disappear.

All my sports and my pens
And the books that I read;
They're my walls, my supports,
They're the things that I need.
But when one thing is off,
And my life isn't sound,
I will need something that
Is much more than profound to succeed.

And when I say
I don't want to fall in love,
I wish you would see
It's only a lie that I wove.

I need somebody to save me,
To show me what it is like to feel warm and alive.
Oh, and when you forsake me,
At least I'll know what it's like to not only survive.
And you may say that it's tragic,
You left 'cause I'm trapped and constricted by fear.
Well, I'll admit it ain't magic,
No abra-cadabra made you disappear.

And when I say
I don't want to fall in love,
I wish you would see
It's only a lie that I wove.
