It's Like Romeo And Juliet

You'd be sad too if
Your dad was a drunk.
If your hopes of having a good life
Was a dream that had sunk.

When your mom gets to sleep,
With an empty space by her side.
Your dad's knocking on the front door,
Is your own lullaby.

You see your mom's trail of tears
And you hope you marry a good man.
But then the real world hits you,
And you'll be lucky if he's half bad.

My mom know that her life she has failed.
Then, I remember that very old "fairy tale"

It's like Romeo and Juliet
Two lovers who's hearts just connect.
But then they meet reality,
And Juliet's husband is a drunk who's dead-beat.

And as I go to sleep that night.
I think about my mom, who's hurting inside.
When I look in the mirror,
my red eyes whisper good night.
