One Man Show

Your the star of a one man show;
All the riches and gold in the world;
Your so afraid to take everything slow;
And everybody's wondering how it all began;
But you never gave 'em the answer they were looking for...

Illiterate words on torn pages;
Just the pathetic sighs of students passing you by;
Living in your nightmare as your locked up in your cage;
You cry out knowing they took it all away;

Your dignity;
Your virginity;

Nobody gives a care in the world;
As your life before you slowly unfurls;

Your the star of a one man show;
All the riches and gold in the world;
Your so afraid to take everything slow;
And everybody's wondering how it all began;
But you never gave 'em the answer they were looking for;

You've slipped under too many times;
You had nothing but your life changing ways;
They were worth nothing under a dime;
But worth every cent of what you had lost;

Your dignity;
Your virginity;

So ashamed they are of your fate;
But nobody had a hold on your word;
For all it took was one first date;
To land you in a pool of dark murky waters;

Your the star of a one man show;
All the riches and gold in the world;
Your so afraid to take everything slow;
And everybody's wondering how it all began;
But you never gave 'em the answer they were looking for;

He stole your virginity at such an young age;
And now your living under such an low wage.

*This was my best attempt on writing an "advanced" ballad for my English project. And just to let you know, the definition I used for virginity was untouched, unsullied, to be pure. Please comment to let me know what you think of this.*
