what i hide

Here in my white clothes stained
The expression upon my face always pained
I’m a shadow in the faded candle light
I hold the knife close and tight

It’s like a pin prick from a needle
The blood swells like an ugly beetle
This is what I hide
Like a knife at your side

The glittering in my eyes
It’s my great disguise
The angel lied
I haven’t yet died

This is what I hide
Like the stolen locket filled with your pride
People so quick to judge
They won’t see my white dove
