BEEP BEEP
He slams his hand onto the alarm clock.
He creaks out of bed and gets ready for the day.
SMACK SMACK
He plants two kisses on his wife
One on her mouth and one to her forehead
WOOF WOOF
The neighbourhood dogs bark in disagreement
As he leaves the house towards his vehicle
VROOM VROOM
He turns the ignition and starts the car.
Backs out and drives away.

The mighty green light flashes on
The two men on each side of it chirp their chorus in synchronization.
CRUNCH CRUNCH
The smash of a collision reverbrates in his ears
As he’s thrust forward into the wheel.
CLINK CLINK
The shattered glass of another vehicle tinkles onto the pavement
As this vehicle collides with the two.
WEE WOO
The emergency van arrives within minutes
But their arrival is too slow to save him.
TICK TOCK
Later that evening, his wife waits anxiously, no comfort from that ticking clock
The telephone rings and she picks it up and listens
NO! NO!
She cries out in agony and grief.
Her husband is dead after hours of trying to save him.
BIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
The voice on the other line says sorry and hangs up
The wife crumples onto the floor and bawls, clutching the telephone
