Angels

Days keep on passing us by in this constant swirl of life.
We're forever stuck in this whirlpool; never free from the dizziness.
The weak ones break.
Those who are strong, or just plain lucky, make it out with the scars.
But the ones who are truly angelic make it out in one piece.
And I believe that those who are angelic are bold and honest, fearless and independent, worthy and free, beautiful and compassionate, but also are born warriors.
They are not afraid to die for the things they care about.
But the world overlooks them.
The world looks at these people and sees something unusual, stupid, and worth criticism. But if you would just take a moment and actually look at them you would see the people that would never have to talk to you, never even see you, and know that you are worth saving. These angels die for you, and you repay them in hatred and misunderstanding.
These angels are bold.
They stand up for the goodness in life.
They are honest, never trying to hide the truth; the world just refuses to see them for what they really are.
These angels are fearless and independent.
They will take on a full grown beast without a second thought.
The only worry on their mind is the ‘what if’.
What if they lose the fight and innocent lives are lost; the lives they're protecting.
That is their worst fear.
But these angels are not just random people off the street.
They are worthy of their positions, and they have fought for everything they have.
They have learned how to defeat, how to cope, and how to love their world; even in the worst of times.
These angels are free.
They have been through hell, but they flew out with a smile on their faces and joy in their hearts.
They are beautiful, inside and out.
Their experiences have allowed them to feel pain in every way imaginable, and therefore have learned how to be who they need to be.
These angels have also learned compassion.
They love all creatures, good and bad, and protect all that will accept it.
But through the mix of it all, these angels are warriors.
They are protectors and survivors and heroes.
Heaven and hell, good and bad, loved and hated, they're still there; protecting our world through it all.
