The Day Before Vacation (Summer 2010)
When I woke up
To my mother’s voice
She told me that
We had to take care of the cats
That we had to send them off to “camp”
I picked up Piggy
My sweet kitten
And she was so scared
It broke my heart
I put her into the carrier
She looked so small in there
So fragile and weak and young
And as we drove down the road
I kept thinking how she’ll soon be home
Back home with us
Then once we got back
I had to help calm Tipsy
Our big poody-cat
And as we drove down the road
I couldn’t help but notice how he seemed so small
His meow was so loud and sad
Echoing through the whole car
And he was mad at me
It really broke my heart
As the day goes on
I can’t he'll but miss them
Even though I’ll see them again
This Wednesday, hopefully
I truly hole that they won’t be mad
And will still love me
Because without them I’m sad
so please wish me a good vacation. and help me hope for the forgive was of my cats. thank you. i hope you enjoyed.
