Man

You are a man and nothing more.
Not god with total power
Nor being with eternal life
You have a final hour.

A beast who roams the fields
Is free to live by choice.
Violence and oppression
Leave no man a single voice.

The living live in harmony
All life, but humankind.
We learn the world’s greatest wonders
But love, we fail to find.

And though we are not perfect
Humanity will try
To live as any god or beast
Until the day we die.
