Souless Dreams
Can you hear the air dying?
Can you see the darkness fading in?
Like a serpent it makes its way,
Choking colors; they wither away
When I kissed your lips;
I tasted lies
So dark and sweet,
And revenge so divine
When I look up,
I see a burning sky
Melting into rain;
And turning to butterflies
But one by one they fall,
And as ashes they lie
Reflecting my dreams;
And my soul as it cries
Under the tree,
Under the tree of secrets she lies...
The tree wrapped with the bark of greed and filled with past desires...
Can you see the darkness fading in?
Like a serpent it makes its way,
Choking colors; they wither away
When I kissed your lips;
I tasted lies
So dark and sweet,
And revenge so divine
When I look up,
I see a burning sky
Melting into rain;
And turning to butterflies
But one by one they fall,
And as ashes they lie
Reflecting my dreams;
And my soul as it cries
Under the tree,
Under the tree of secrets she lies...
The tree wrapped with the bark of greed and filled with past desires...
