The Rock of Pleasure and Death

The sun rises
It’s just another day
Then the feeling comes
The want for something that will please
That will soothe
So the hunt begins
It was just a one time thing
But the want for more is there
Like a burning

Eyes searching
You see him
The man who will supply your need
He hands over what is needed and the debt is paid
This time the money came from your mom’s gold watch
The care isn’t there anymore if she misses it
The only reminder of her dead beloved grandmother
What was needed is now had

The sun rises
There is a strange man sleeping next to you naked
What happened is evident
But the mere thought is unbelievable
This was the only way left to pay
And payment was needed for the sustenance that came
Tears start to flow down your face but the past is done
Turning back is not an option

Bright lights shine down
There are flowers everywhere
Your last memory was of one of pain
Writhing pain that never wanted to cease
But it eventually gave away to nothingness
There are people here
They are all crying
The speaker says a few words
Mother is sitting in the front row with the rest of the family
They’re all sobbing
She gets up to speak
“She didn’t know what to do when it became too much
If only we could’ve helped her”
Sobbing as she walks back you walk to the glossy box in the front
It’s a coffin
You look inside to see you
Covered in scars and scabs and track marks
You don’t even look like you
Still and cold
Finally at peace
