Fallen Angel

Rejected by the golden gates,
for his death he awaits.
Blackened with burning ash,
his wings smoldering, and torn like a deep gash.

Through the skies he falls,
an angel to his death.
Filled with anger and un-holy laws,
burning in his wrath.

Sins he has committed,
dying with none forgiven.
Wars he has arose,
his heart is a blackened rose.

In his eyes he sees his damnation,
a world born broken.
His last hope of salvation,
becomes his only token.

Before he is damned,
he prays to the god's,
"Let be reborn into your golden halls."

Their only response is a golden light,
and he remembers nothing of that terrible night.
