Anticipation

Everytime I see him,
My heart just skips a beat.
The lights around him dim.
There's no one else to meet.

He's the only one I see,
Circled by many girls.
He turns to set me free.
Our eyes meet in tiny whirls.

Then towards me he reaches,
Silently searching for a kiss.
Suddenly stolen by one who preaches,
He leaves me alone with much to miss.

He tries to make his way
Over towards me once again.
I wonder what to say,
But my mind begins to spin.

You'd think after so much time
Words would start to come so easy.
Begining to slip like slime,
You'd think my thoughts would be so breezy.

Sadly this is not the case.
Still he comes,
Him and thoughts, like a race.
I decide three words are how it sums.

When it comes down to it
And he reaches me,
A kiss is fit
To set me free.
