Little Things

Little things
Insignificant, tiny little things
Conversations, events, accidents
Things you just brush off
Is it that easy?
In my head they build
Filling necessary spaces with noise
They chatter, and they converse
Leaving no room for reason
No room for logic and control
And that’s when you get the ka-boom
Screaming, throwing
Crying, running
Anything to clear the space
To get out the stupid little things
So I can hear the silence again
It’s my head, my thoughts
So why won’t they shut up?
