Nameless

She glides alone in a sea of black.
Paddling her canoe.
Afraid that if she ever looked back.
She wouldn’t know what she should do.

The sky and the sea blend together as one
As the darkness surrounding engulfs them
She knows if she ever thought she was done
The time that is now would be then.

She empties her mind in the endless black
And stares on a head for the light
Afraid that if she ever looked back
She’d turn again back to the night.

But she hums to her self, hoping she’s right
Ignoring the demons around her.
Their eyes glimmering bright like the stars in the night
Sparkling with their allure.

The faint scent of hope had captured her mind
That was spiraling into the madness
She had thought she was out of time
And given herself up to the sadness.

But she glanced up to the sky and heard hope,
So she desperately clung to the knot
At the end of the short-coming, treacherous rope
And back through the night she fought.

And so she glides alone in a sea of black
Paddling her canoe
Knowing that she could never turn back
For she’d forget what she needed to do.

I wasn't exactly sure what to name this, so I just called it "Nameless #1" and it kind of just seemed to stick. Any ideas on a name would be great though.
