Spotlight
I'm walking down a hallway. It's narrow and can only fit one person at a time. I walk until I find that it's split two ways. Left or right. I turn to go the way I came, and there's a wall. Writing begins to appear:
THE ONLY WAY IS FORWARD; NO TURNING BACK.
I find myself turning right. The hallway is split three ways. Left, right, or stright ahead. I turn to go the way I came, and there's a wall. Writing begins to appear:
THE ONLY WAY IS FORWARD; NO TURNING BACK.
So I keep going straight. I found myself at a dead end. I turned to go back and found a message on the wall:
RAMIE, WHY DO YOU LOOK BACK? DO YOU NOT TRUST MY JUDGEMENT? I WIILL LEAD YOU. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS FOLLOW. IF YOU NEED HELP, ASK ME. IF YOU NEED ENCOURAGEMENT, COME TO ME. I AM HERE TO PROTECT AND LOVE YOU. I WILL NEVER LEAVE. NOW, BEGIN TO WALK WITH ME, NOT AGAINST ME.
So I turned around, and found the hallway. I followed until I spotted light up ahead. I began to run, but I tripped and fell. When I got up, I found a wall in front of me that read:
RAMIE, IT'S A MARATHON, NOT A SPRINT. TAKE YOUR TIME AND LET ME GUIDE YOU TO YOUR NEXT DESTINATION.
I stepped forward towards the wall, and it had fallen away to reveal the hallway and the light up ahead. I started forward and began to look but only in front of me. My eyes looking to find only light, nothing else. I reached the light and in it. I stayed there staring right where I stood until another appeared. Another and another and another. I looked and found light all down the depth of the hallway. I found a wall in front of me:
SOMETIMES WHEN YOU HAVE REACHED WHERE I HAVE LED YOU, I LIKE TO SHOW YOU THE PATH YOU TOOK TO GET THERE FOR YOUR BETTER UNDERSTANDING.
The wall dissapated. I was left with only one light. The one I was standing in.
