Selfish Dreams
I stand here, waiting
For what exactly? I'm not sure
I walk a shadowed path
That's thinning with every step
A marker between the extremes
There's a small line that separates
Shrinking with time and space
Foretelling a future of oblivion, or bliss
The borders remind us all, of life and death
And now, I know why
Because I see you standing there
With a transparent glow
I ask, Without even knowing your name
Will you join me?
I take your hand in mine, and we walk
To nowhere land
The only place where my dreams can survive
The only place untouched by your nightmares
For what exactly? I'm not sure
I walk a shadowed path
That's thinning with every step
A marker between the extremes
There's a small line that separates
Shrinking with time and space
Foretelling a future of oblivion, or bliss
The borders remind us all, of life and death
And now, I know why
Because I see you standing there
With a transparent glow
I ask, Without even knowing your name
Will you join me?
I take your hand in mine, and we walk
To nowhere land
The only place where my dreams can survive
The only place untouched by your nightmares
