Monsters

Monsters used to live under the bed,
But they moved and now theyre in your head.
Monsters come, and they never go.
Always running through your head, never going slow.
They never let you sleep,
They laugh when you weep.
They make you doubt,
And make you want to scream and shout.
And as you grow older you learn to resist,
You raise up your fists,
And you fight them away.
In the back of your mind they stay,
Until you give them reason to come another day
