They Won't Know

Dark room all alone,

the breeze so cold,

it chills me to the bone.

Quiet dead silence,

the only sound is my breathing,

sometimes wish,

this heart would quit beating.

Left with my thoughts to myself,

I fear what will come to mind,

what I will see what I'll find.

No one is here,

they don't know,

haven't witnessed my fear,

or seen me shed one tear.

Silent I remain all alone,

in this dark room,

in my home.

And I won't cry out,

they will never know,

just how lonesome I feel,

my emotions will never show.
