The caged dove.

Caged dove.
Trapped inside.
No love,
Alone it sits and cries.

Some may say it's safe from the world.
Precious little pearl.
Others think its trapped inside,
Wishing it'd die.

Black metal, all around.
One latch, simple lock.
All you need is a little pop.

No happiness it feels,
Wants out?
No emotions to steal.
I don't even know how to determine a pout.

Will you let me free?
Release me?
Thank you,
For this great safety.

Inside the cage, safe from the world,
Perfect, precious little pearl.
Inside the cage, trapped and enraged,
Angrily pained.

Poor little dove.
Never felt love,
Poor little girl,
Scared of the world.

She's trapped in her own mind,
Wishing she'd die?
No one will know,
She's not here for the show.

Is she making hersef safe?
Or keeping herself caged?

Protecting herself?
Or somebody else?

Maybe she doesn't know what she's doing.
Just going through lifes thoughts thoroughly,
Safe in her cage,
She's got her own ways.

Dove; girl,
Both precious little pearls.
Trapped or saved,
Either way, ending up in a grave one of these days.

Some may say it's safe from the world.
Precious little pearl.
Others think she's trapped inside,
Wishing she'd die.
