Pipedreams

i guess i hoped too fast too soon
covered now in a fog of gloom.
i knew it seemed too good to be true
but i cant stop myself from loving you.

i cant help but wonder why
its hard but still i try
try to hold myself together, so i wont cry.
i knew it was too good to be true
but you know you made me love you.

maybe, if we gave it a shot
i could tie your heart in a knot.
we might have something, you and me
i just wanted to see what it could be.

but, i guess im too late
i'll start again with a clean slate.
not sure what this now means
but now im done with pipedreams.
