Lost and yet Found

I am lost and yet found,
On the red, snow covered ground,
Your eyes stare me down,
Hard yet they cared,
I am lost and yet found,
In your stare,

Your eyes are all that’s left when you’re gone,
I know if I look into them,
That I’ll see you haven’t moved on,
If I lose you, then I lose myself.

Looking over your shoulder,
At the world getting colder,
In your arms,
I am warmer,
If only I could keep in the summer,

The words leave your mouth,
You serenade them out,
I am lost and yet found,
In your beautiful sound,

I am lost and yet found,
In the woods that surround,
Their eyes stare me down,
Waiting for someone else to appear,
I am lost and yet found in their stare,

So memories are lost to me now,
Yet the memories of you are found,
As I stare at you back from yards of ground.
If I lose you, then I lose myself.

I am sleepless,
When I don’t feel your breath enter and leave your chest,
I walk around mindless,
Thinking of you always,
If I’ve lost you, then I’ve lost myself.

Looking over my shoulder,
At the world that is colder,
Yet you’re walking over,
In your arms,
I feel warmer,
I kept you in the summer,

The words leave your mouth,
You serenade them out,
I am lost and yet found,
In your beautiful sound,

I am lost and yet found,
In this endless summer,
I am lost and yet found,
In your arms that surround.

I love Shiver. I cried after reading Linger. It LINGERED in my mind, so I wrote this.
