Distant Dreams

With eyes downcast,
Heartbeats racing,
Anonymity destroyed,
Clarity absent,
She dreams of him,
His philosophical nature,
Slender figure,
Satirical humour,
Hoping to be more than nothing.
An item to be proud of,
Make her life whole,
He feels something,
Says nothing,
Brings with him no hint of emotion,
A presence void of answers,
Her mind claws for them,
His conceals them,
Blocking the natural cycle,
Denying it to them both,
Even though she hasn't had it for years,
So she hopes for something,
Her heart racing,
Face reddening,
And identity fully exposed.

Another somewhat autobiographical poem, like most everything I write.
I do like feedback, although I realise I'm not amazing or anything.
