One Day I'll Kill My Angel

Silent eyes and burning lips
To spill the poison on her mind
The weight of the world cradled in her wings
No trace of hope to find

She carries on to suffer
She carries on- and screams
Lying the world on her shoulders
Cradled in her wings

She glides above the surface
Only inches from the flames
Her bare, scared feet graze the embers
And she bites her lip as it maims

She carries on in torture
On the line of healed and fatal
And with a promise made long ago
One day I'll kill this Angel

I'll rip away every pure white feather
And I'll sow her soft lips shut
I'll bind her broken limbs together
Until the rope begins to cut

I'll wipe away her silver tears
Her eyes, that perfect hazel
I'll bring my lips to her ear and whisper
You will always be my Angel

Though for now, I'll watch her from the shadows
With red eyes turned green with envy
As her heart overflows with passion
Only to show that mine is empty

She carries on in spite of her path
The world in her wings, cradled
And with a promise made long ago
One day I'll kill my Angel
