Dear Innocence, Farewell

Dear the tongue of excellence,
That never has been mine,
Wish on me incompetence,
But don’t foresee the dawn,
When the tongue of elegance,
Will grant the gift of time,
Strengthen my indifference,
And then will be withdrawn.

Dear my childhood innocence,
The sun has set to rain,
Washed away my vehemence,
And left this empty shell,
Gone is renewed confidence,
The warmth of heart in vain,
Let the thunder now commence,
To mindless dreams, farewell.
