It Is A Kind Of Death

My dear mother and father
I am not your daughter
I was your only son
Trying to avoid what's done
But it does not matter
I couldn't do the latter

I was a failure in your eyes
And now my blackened soul dies
But I am no longer sorry
My eyes no longer starry
Cause it was you who did me wrong
It was you who beat me strong

All those days I hurt
From your words that burnt
Immersed in myself
A trophy broken on your shelf
Not polished to a shine
Not fitting your perfect design

I was a failure in your eyes
And now my blackened soul dies
And I am no longer sorry
My eyes no longer starry
You did me wrong
I was beaten strong

You didn't care
No, there's no despair
Let him die you said
He's better to me dead
So I grabbed a knife
Contemplating my life

I was a failure in your eyes
My blackened soul slowly dies
To you I am no longer sorry
My eyes no longer starry
Its you who did me wrong
You who beat me strong

Then he was sent
To collect your life's rent
Which you couldn't pay
On that hatefully joyous day
So your souls they stole
Looking blacked like coal

Because I was failure to your eyes
And now your blackened soul dies
Still I am not sorry
Eyes open not starry
Cause it was you who did me wrong
You who loved beating me strong

He then saw what I was
A child tortured because
You were so full of hate
When you girl died on that date
About my scares he knew the truth
So he tried to return my stolen youth

All because I was a failure in your eyes
And now your blackened soul dies
And you cry and die sorry
Your eyes from the pain starry
Cause it was you who did me wrong
And it is your turn to be beaten strong
YOU BEAT ME STRONG
And felt my life as a kind of death
