For Rachael

I didn’t know her.
I could’ve, I should’ve.
I was to be introduced
But that day never came.
She sold her soul
She packed up her bags, and left the life she lived

What I did know of her was great.
She was beautiful, a star in the sky.
She could make the rain dissipate,
And the sun shine.
She made her love happy.
A smile, a laugh, anything.

I wish I knew her.
I wish I could talk to her,
Laugh with her.
Laugh at what we could’ve done.

Never did I imagine what our first encounter really would be.
Me seeing her, but her not seeing with her own eyes
But instead with her soul, wherever she went.

Rachael, we will all miss you.
