For My Awesome Mom

I am a girl.
And I have a mom.
I look up to her for reasons...
She put's up with too much! And it's wrong.

I know she loves me.
And I love her, too.
But she needs to understand,
Just how much I do...

So I'm writing her a poem.
Because I appreciate her very much...
She gives meaning
To the expression, "A mother's touch!"

Mama's the reason for my smiles,
And my laughter all day.
She's brightening up my world
Even when I'm away...

She tells me not to worry
As she hugs me tight.
Her touch lets me know I'm safe,
That I can sleep soundly at night.

My mom is amazing.
A role-model for all and me.
When I look up at my mom,
This is what I see:

A woman who can say something nice
About someone acting so big and bad,
Who finds a reason to laugh
When I'm driving her mad...

So yes, she must love me.
I know that she does.
But sometimes, Mom needs to know,
That know matter what... She's also loved <3
