Love is a bar of soap;
Right when you think you got it, it slips away.
Love is a chunk of hope;
It's hidden sometimes, but it's there every day

His breath in my ear stings as he hisses three words
"I love you" he said, but "let me in" was all I heard.
He isn't deserving of me or my friend underneath
Because his words are the only thing lifting me off my feet.
