Dreamland

The darkness always beckons,
It welcomes you with open arms,
Your existence has been claimed,
As the sun sets on this life,
The words remain the same,
Until the end of your days,
Everything stays unchanged.

We're all just flesh and bone,
But inside we're all sleeping,
With the ache of an empty heart.

All I'll ever need I have right now,
In my own semi-mental world,
You can't get me here,
This place I feel safe,
In my train-wreck mind.

I would hold my head high,
But they're all staring
Their eyes wide, uncaring,
My last call is now,
But I won't give up,
Even with my last breath,
I'll be awakened by a whisper.

We're all just flesh and bone,
But inside we're all sleeping,
With the ache of an empty heart.

All I'll ever need I have right now,
In my own semi-mental world,
You can't get me here,
This place I feel safe,
In my train-wreck mind.

There's no escape from fate,
Cause I'm forever shaking,
Never waking,
Waiting for this nightmare to end.

All I'll ever need I have right now,
In my own semi-mental world,
You can't get me here,
Here is where I feel safe,
In my train-wreck mind.
