Please Take Me Home

I’m staring at the phone, hoping you’ll call.
I’m awake but still dreaming in my head.
I see you, sunshine making your face light up like the star that I named after you.
These bloodshot eyes haven’t seen a wink in days, these night are making me shake in ways that only you could.
And now I know, that I’ll never come home

Because home is where the heart is, and you still hold the key.
I left my soul hidden in your clothes and I can barely breathe
And as I lay here in this bed, I know it’s not yours.
I miss you so and if I go tonight, please miss me.

I’m sitting here staring at signs that say don’t cross.
As the lights shine, I believe it’s you coming to take me away.
I gasped for air that wasn’t there, and for a moment I got scared that I was gonna end.
I head-charged into a car, dodging heavy traffic in the street.
And all I want is to.
Go home, But I know I can’t.

Because home where the heart is, and you still hold the key.
I left my soul hidden in your clothes, and I can hardly breathe
As I lay here in this bed slowly finding hope, that someday I will find you.
I miss you so and if I go tonight, please miss me.

Now I’ve come to terms, with this lesson that I learned.
I’ve made my mind up, and I’ll keep my eyes shut, and when I open them I’ll be home.
Because home is where the heart is, and you still hold the key….
Please don’t drop me, cause I’m not standing up. Please don’t let me bleed out in my sleep. Please, please, please I love you princess.

Home where the heart is, and you still hold the key.
I left my soul hidden in your clothes,
As I lay me down to sleep……
