Frenemies

In light of recent events I think you ought to know
Surprisingly I’ve come to find your laugher passable
And your smile sticks with me as is my new flow

A new routine I’ve come to like
A start that once was an end
Something I’ve begun to think of as more of a stroll than a hike

You don’t exactly light up a room
But you certainly glow more than usual
A flower just begun to bloom

It’s not exactly hysterical
But laugher always was our medicine
You’re voice is no longer unbearable

I can put up with the sound of snigger
Even if sometimes I strain my ears
My admiration is growing bigger

It gives me the chance to see you grin
I like this latest you
I no longer want to kick you in the shin

Something out of character for few
I’ll keep stock these moments
To keep myself from strangling you
