Dear Graduating Class Of 2011.
As graduation looms
We feel those little mushrooms
Moving in our stomach with the rhythm of our steps
This is the moment, we cannot make any missteps
We must walk straight to the stage
It is the beginning of a new age
While joy will make some feel like they are in a coma
Others will feel inferior because they won't get a diploma
Their lazyness made it impossible for them to do the service hours
When the smart one had them done in less than 72 hours.
Their stupidities has stopped them from getting the 24 credits
Which has led them to no final merits
They were too ignorant to calculate the consequences of their failure in Math
Too careless to concentrate and pass the reading FCAT
And they had four entire years to accomplish the least
While others like me, only had 14 months to deserve our names on the list
Some of us have already formed our own family
Which means: In everything, we will have double responsability
We are the future doctors, nurses, engineers and writers
In my case, we are the future criminal defense lawyers
Some of us will go to college, starting summer
Some of us will begin college in the fall and enjoy summer
Some will take this year off for more than a reason
While others will have to get a GED before the end of the season
I am nobody to tell you that you are dumb or brillant
But as a graduant,
I must say that; despite the fact that college seems to be priceless
It is the second door that will lead us to success
We are done with high school, not education
We all have the potential to extend our passion
Let's be smart and make the right choice
For tomorrow will then bring nothing but joice
We all should be ready for anything that comes our way
If it wasn’t for the teachers, the counselors, we would not have been here today
So a special thank you to all of these great people
A special thanks to our family, our people
Starting from now, we're all on different track
The real life is waiting for us, you cannot go back
This said, I congratulate every graduate of the class of 2011
And never forget that on a scale of 1-10 we are an "11"
