Rhythm Save Me

I'm in this place to dance,
And fling the night away,
I trusted him far too much,
And with my love, i did pay.

I trusted him to much,
I let him go to far,
Though i didn't go all the way,
On my skin, he left a scar.

I listened to his twisting lies,
I let them fill my ears,
I wanted to believe them all,
But they all ended in tears.

So i just sway to the music,
And throw my limbs around,
I beg the rhythm to save me,
Before, in these tears, i drown.

This is for a friend who trusted a girl who, for lack of a better word, betrayed him. I wrote this poem from a girls' point of view because i tried to do it from a guys' and it just didn't flow right :/ i know when i get down, blasting techno or rock or metal and just dancing is the best therapy there is.........
