War and Peace

Bodies lay dead on the ground
The flowers bloom all around
The stars loom over without a sound
Hope becomes lost with loss of a heart pound

Days linger on and on
More and more bodies drop
Thunder of bullets at lightning speed
Will the rain of this terror ever stop

Foul smells dispersed through soil
Not knowing soldier from civilian
Bodies and land doused in oil
Burning with gun fire on any pavillon

Wind serving as wings of protection
twisting and turning a cloud of dust
Showers of bullets pelting enemies
Searching and chasing like boys of lust

Patriotism is how we justify
The millions of murders in each war
Bodies become flowers on a field of death
Why must we fight anymore

Peace is simple no death no pain
No more suffering of comrades and mothers
War brings physical emotional and mental strain
Think of all the little brothers

Compare Men and Women to rocks
We all can be strong but also we break
War gives us more and more
Until we've had all we can take

Let us live let us die
But natural forces we can live
We don't need voluntary genocide
And that seems that's all war is
