Losing Is Winning.

Just because we lost,
Doesn't mean we aren't good.
It means that we were the better team.

We smile when we get a penalty.
Love to start fights for the heck of it,
and make a few rude comments.

We aren't in it for the money,
Were in it for the excitement.

We breathe, love and sometimes eat the ice.
Winning isn't important,
Yes, it's what we want.
But we don't need it.

We practice because we get better.
We play because it's what we do.
We live for hockey because it's who we are.

We clap and congratulate the other team,
for when we lost,
But it's not over.

We sleep, eat, practice and repeat.
It's who we are and who we want to be.
It's what we do, and how we do it.

Not the money,
Not the goals,
Not the trophies.

It's the feeling of our skates cutting through the ice.
The breeze of cold air rushing past us.
The sweat running in our eyes.
The way our hearts pound faster.
The fans screaming our name.

Then we know,
We are the best.
