The Season

Spring poem

New buds wake up to see the sun
Lambs jump around the field
Trees cover them selves with leaves and brighten up each thorn
Songbirds sing a welcome song
And hedgehogs wake up
For this is what happens when spring comes into the bright meadows dawn

Summer poem

Lollypops and ice cream
Beach sun and no rain
Clouds all white and fluffy
Birds sing the praise
All hot and sweaty
People red or brown
For summer has come yet again so smooth away that frown

Autumn poem

Autumn has come for another time
So the sun has gone away
Long days are shortened
And the clouds are gloomy and grey
The birds have stopped singing
The flowers are all gone
Trees have turned into skeletons
And all the animals are gone
Autumn has come for another year so pack away your stuff and wait till summer has come again
Until then you’re done

Winter poem

Icicles hang from the top of skeleton trees
Snow floats down from the sky on a winter breeze
Hot fires light the night
Marshmallows toast in the fires light
Warm cloths cover the skin
No sun peeps from the gloomy clouds within
Animals are fast asleep
Flowers are dead amongst the leaves that used to hang from the trees
For now winter has come today and shall not stir until spring has come its way.
