Silver And Gold

Enchanted by the lies
Whispered by gilded tongue.
Obliterate the question why,
Through haunting whispers sung.

Beware the serpent's fangs
Cloaked behind a mask,
The delicate balance hangs
Only if nobody asks.

Run away from those you know
Into the arms of strangers.
It just goes to show
The misconception of danger.

Twirl round and round
'Til you fly apart,
Fall the ground
With an empty, battered heart.

The sky comes crashing down
As the girl in the corner cries.
Jewels fall from the silver crown,
And somewhere, someone dies.
