I lay Here

All is silent,
All is calm.

I lay here,
Silent tears roll and spill down my cheeks.

Not a sound nor word,
Not even a heavy breath nor sigh.

The tears are endless,
The pain is everything.

Nothing is understood,
Nothing will be explained.

I lay here,
Abundant with confusion.

Sorrow enraptures me,
I am consumed and maddened by its tumultuous waves.

I lay here,
Awaiting a return of something that never will.

Alone,
Alone am I and forever shall be?

I lay here,
Awaiting the one who will never come home.

All is silent,
All is calm.

I lay here,
Remembering what used to be,

Life was certainly joyous, at least looking back on it thats all that can be remembered,
The good times.

When sweet words were said,
And even sweeter lies were spent.

I lay here,
Knowing such pastimes will never come again.

Nothing is heard nor spoken,
Hidden truths never to be uncovered.

Snow falling,
Wind blowing.

I lay here,
Ready to die from the cold.

Numb,
Ever cold.

No one left to notice,
No one left to care.

I am alright,
My selfish ways will soon be bothersome to no one.

I lay here,
Relieved for the end.
