Coffee

This caffeinated drink
Keeps me awake.
This warm beverage
Starts my day.
Without a cup of joe,
I will crash.
Without cream and sugar,
It is nothing but bitter.
Without this tasty desire,
My eyes will close.
Without the warmth it brings me,
I won’t be complete.
For morning is my worst time,
So I’ll be crabby.
So, for your safety and mine,
Don’t bother me until I’ve had my coffee.
Or you’ll be drinking yours through a straw.
