Hidden Place

If there was a place I could go,
It would be somewhere only I'd know.
I could have my serenity and silence,
Somewhere to inflict personal violence.

In this place I could hide,
Letting go of insecurities inside.
No one could find me,
And there would be nobody for me to see.

Time would stop all around,
But not in my empty town.
You couldn't tell I was gone,
And nothing would go wrong.

There I could breathe,
Hogging my personal peace.
I'd ignore the world for that time,
Finally finding calm in my own mind.
