Much Like the Tears

The rain falls from the sky like teardrops;
Much like the ones that fall from your eyes
And you cover up your pain like a masquerade ball dance
Such a clever and witty disguise
Just like being in a very deep trance
Wishing all the evil in the world goodbye
With a swift flick of her hair brings a romance
A romance so sweet it’s poison and lies
Fire burns in his eyes like a viper;
So sure and confident is he who attacks her
So fragile and silly, so innocent and giddy
One bite and his drug shall infect her
Like riding a sun ray, filling her with warmth...
Not knowing the trickery...
Not recalling its course...
Such a beautiful night for a slow dance
What a dashing time for a pint
Just a lovely night for a drop of velvet betrayal
Fresh from the lonesome heart,
Salt falls from your eyes like a waterfall
Much like the motion of facing a close call
As the heart monitor reads a flat line
You’ve seen it a million times,
But you close your eyes
Clasp your hands and pray to the skies
And ask for a miracle
To cure the pain she lives with every time the sun rises...
All you can do is sit and watch the clouds change
While she throws her life away
And hoping that one day
She’ll run into your open sway
And say ENOUGH
To each stalking prey,
And never
Go away...
Much like the scar on her heart
That brings teardrops to your eyes.
