Me Is All I Want

I feel the sand between my toes,
And I know that everything's alright,
Looking out my window to see it rain,
Seeing my future shining bright,
Waiting to feel the wind blow by,
Dying for a place to be,
Watching for a chance to fly,
Lonely inside my head,
Awkward in my own skin,
Plotting the escape I dread,
Finding my own way out,
Just gonna stay being me,
That's all I can do,
Fighting for a way to see,
Finding comfort and solace in my thoughts,
Because me as myself is all I want.
