Poem # 1
When our eyes look over the beauty
Of this harsh horizon
Or the exciting pages
Of this overrated book...
Spread so thin
You can't breathe
Draw one labored breath
It doesn't matter anyway
What is there to see
When you know it all?
What is there to do
When you laugh it all away?
Sand
Through the cracked resemblance
Of an hourglass
The lies don't matter
Because it's all the truth
If you want it to be
Of this harsh horizon
Or the exciting pages
Of this overrated book...
Spread so thin
You can't breathe
Draw one labored breath
It doesn't matter anyway
What is there to see
When you know it all?
What is there to do
When you laugh it all away?
Sand
Through the cracked resemblance
Of an hourglass
The lies don't matter
Because it's all the truth
If you want it to be
