Under The Rule Of The Moon

Lost in a state of reverie,
In a sense of false bliss
Shackles that forever hold me,
In a life that's gone remiss

The sun of our lives mislaid,
As humane moral decays
Under blackened skies we stand,
Holding our breaths for so long
Stench of human greed so strong;
A poisoned dagger in hand

The moon our partner in crime,
In putrid depths of our mind
Insanity to call mine,
As decorous ways deplored
Just one more double-edged sword;
From the edge we always climb

Whether the rain or snow may fall,
Corruption shall transcend
Through fiery hells as night falls,
The world will soon end

May the sun ever rise again,
May the moon ever yeild?
Will we amend the sins of man;
Atone for blood we've spilled

Under the rule of the moon,
May the angels call come soon
With corruption full in it's prime,
Humanity out to spite
To perish in this twilight;
Will the sun ever rise in time?
